Visual storytelling is the art of using documentary photography and design to tell a story that resonates on the printed page.
My belief is that our lives are a collection of stories and that a StoryBook filled with artistic heartfelt images becomes the narrative of love and belonging that connects us to each other.
I am proud of the work I do. It is rewarding to know that the StoryBook we create will become a priceless sentimental treasure for future generations.
What is your story?
Artistically enhanced images are those edited selects that are given additional creative enhancements in post-production. These include my signature B+W conversions and painterly color enhancements.

My unique vision comes from a 30 year background in storytelling photography and design.
I photograph your wedding day with a documentary approach and the design of the StoryBook in mind.
I make you feel comfortable to be in front of the camera. No posing, just a little gentle directing so you can be yourself.
I value authenticity and connection in capturing moments that matter and stand the test of time.
As a visual storyteller my goal is to tell your story of love and belonging in a printed StoryBook that will become a priceless sentimental treasure.
Yes and no, it depends on the logistics of the day. I usually prefer to work alone. 90% of all the images on this website were captured by my eye, mind and heart. Since I photograph with the StoryBook in mind I am able to maintain a visual consistency to the narrative of the day.
We do considerable planning with you before the wedding to create a photographic timeline to ensure that I am aware of the details that matter and the important relationships.
You do have the option of adding a second professional photographer for all or part of the day.
Yes , of course I take all the group photos and details photos you would expect along with the storytelling moments.
I usually posts a few “teasers” on the blog right after the wedding followed shortly by a blog post of enhanced images.
About 2 to 3 weeks later you can expect to see all the edited images posted to a password protected online gallery.
The online gallery includes a downloadable link of all the processed and edited color digital files and a release to make copies and prints for personal use.
I will design the first layout. An email link will be sent to you for your review, collaboration and approval. All the images in the StoryBook are artistically enhanced and some images are converted to black and white. Each spread has a comment section. Comments are emailed directly to the studio.
Changes will be made to your StoryBook at no charge per your comments and a revised StoryBook link emailed to you for review and approval. Any further design revisions will require an additional charge per spread.
Once approval is made we will send it out for printing and binding. We usually have it back in our studio within 3-4 weeks. At that point we will inspect it and ship it to you.
